Born in Tokyo, Ittetsu Nasuda began his musical journey at the age of three, eventually discovering a defining passion for improvisational jazz as a teenager. After honing his craft in Tokyo’s competitive jazz circuit, he moved to the United States in 2011 to study at Berklee College of Music, a move that broadened his technical mastery and artistic vision.

Since relocating to New York City in 2015, Ittetsu has become a versatile fixture in the city’s jazz and latin music scenes. He has performed with icons such as Tito Puente Jr., Jimmy Bosch, Jose “Pepito” Gomez, and Chico Alvarez, and shared stages with masters like John Benitez and Wilson "Chembo" Corniel.

His debut album, Tailwind, serves as a bold exploration of his musical identity—a sophisticated hybrid of Afro-Cuban rhythms, contemporary jazz, and traditional Japanese influences. Featuring a world-class ensemble including Dan Neville and Gabriel Vivas, Tailwind is available now on all major streaming platforms.
