Born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, the sonero Luis A. Blasini began his musical career at the age of 15 as a percussionist. In the 1960s, his mother encouraged him to pursue music. Later, his love for salsa led him to sing with local groups.

In the 80s, he was in high demand by groups including Típica Ideal, La Charanga Sensual, El Combo de Siempre, and Ernie Agosto y La Conspiración, among others. He recorded with Eddie Palmieri and participated in a tour of Martinique alongside Israel “Cachao” López.

In 1984, he recorded on the album El Combo de Siempre, performing tracks such as "Paula," "Eso Merece un Trago," and "La Dama."

In the 90s, he worked with Pepe Castillo, Yomo Toro, and the Boys Harbor Big Band, where he showcased his talent as a bolerista (bolero singer).
