Tomoya Ogawa’s Cinema Paradiso
1241 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
On Friday the 13th, Cinema Paradiso descends into the shadowlands with Black Lodge Serenade — a live concert devoted to cinematic horror, psychological dread, and altered states of consciousness.
Cinema Paradiso are curators of cinematic consciousness, channeling music from films where fear lives in the shadows of the mind. The night moves through the fractured dream logic of Eraserhead, the uncanny dualities of Twin Peaks, the erotic menace of Blue Velvet, and the identity collapse of Lost Highway.
Experience the spiraling obsession of Psycho, the cold, relentless pulse of Halloween, and the whispered paranoia of Rosemary's Baby — lullabies where innocence gives way to terror. From there, the descent slips into dystopian and existential horror: the unstoppable pursuit of Terminator, the haunted futures of Blade Runner, the ontological nightmare of The Matrix, the body–mind fracture of Ghost in the Shell, and the prophetic terror woven through Dune.
Woven throughout are themes of obsession, surveillance, possession, and fatal beauty — love songs turned dangerous, nursery rhymes poisoned by dread, and melodies that feel like memories you’re not sure are yours.
This is our love letter to fear, obsession, and the strange poetry of nightmares. Dress to disappear.
7pm Doors / 7:30pm Show. Walk-ins welcome. 2 Drink Minimum per person for table service. 21+ ID Required.

Step through the velvet curtains of The Red Pavilion and into the fever dream of Black Lodge Serenade—a journey through films that exist between worlds: dream and nightmare, memory and prophecy, flesh and machine.
Drawing from the the surreal landscapes of David Lynch to the blood-stained ballads of revenge from Quentin Tarantino, the synth-soaked dreams of John Carpenter, the shadowed suspense of Alfred Hitchcock, and the cosmic longing of Denis Villeneuve and Ridley Scott—the night drifts effortlessly from the haunting dream worlds of Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Rosemary's Baby and The Fog into dystopian futures and altered states through Blade Runner, The Matrix, Terminator, Dune, and Ghost in the Shell.
This is music born at the edge of reality — where identity fractures, time loops, and desire hums beneath the surface. Expect torch songs from forgotten lovers, neo-noir love themes from dystopian futures, and slow dances on the edge of oblivion. Dress in your finest noir romance—blue velvet, red lipstick, and a touch of danger.
